Phyllis Papa’s choreography is based on Bram Stoker’s classic tale of Dracula. Set in 15th-century Eastern Europe, the story follows a young lawyer, Jonathan Harker, who is captured and imprisoned by Dracula. Inspired by a photograph of Jonathan’s fiancée, Mina, Dracula travels to London, where he drains the life from Mina’s best friend, Lucy Westenra. Dr. Van Helsing then leads a crusade to save Mina and rid the world of Dracula.
