Every holiday season, The Nutcracker opens a doorway to wonder — where snowflakes twirl, toy soldiers march, and the Sugar Plum Fairy sparkles on stage.

This year, we invite you to join us for a special fundraising dinner celebrating the magic of The Nutcracker and supporting the Atlantic City Ballet’s mission to bring this beloved story to life for generations to come.

Your participation and generosity help sustain our dancers, costumes, sets, and community outreach programs — ensuring that this timeless holiday tradition continues to inspire and delight audiences year after year.

There will be facepainting, a DC, Polyana, Food and Fun! Ticket prices are $25 per adult. Children 12 and under are $10, but it is free if they bring a wrapped gift valued at $10. Please label gifts as general, boy, or girl.

Atlantic City Ballet Children's Nutcracker Auditions

Exciting news for young dancers! The Atlantic City Ballet is holding auditions for the Children's Nutcracker. Join us at the Atlantic City Ballet Studio in Boardwalk Hall, located at 2301 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, New Jersey, on August 10, 2024.

Audition Schedule:

Parent's Meeting: 10:00 am
Children ages 5 to 7: 10:30 am
Ages 8 and up (not en-pointe): 11:00 am
Ages 10 and up (en-pointe): 12:00 pm

Packets containing details about the Nutcracker Camp, sponsorship forms, and additional information will be provided.

Selected participants must attend the mandatory Nutcracker Camp from August 26 to August 28, running daily from 11 am to 3 pm.

Nutcracker Production Fee is due in two increments for those who were selected. The first increment of $200 is due at the First Rehearsal. And the second increment is due on 11/3/24 along with the Sponsorship form.

Atlantic City Ballet Hosts International Dancers for Trainee Program

Atlantic City Ballet begins it 2024 International Trainee and Apprentice Program (ITAP) !

In January 2024, the Atlantic City Ballet will launch its trainee program, attracting dancers from various countries to its 11-week International Trainee and Apprentice Program (ITAP). Designed for dancers aiming for a professional career, ITAP offers crucial experience for the transition from student to professional, in a supportive and intimate setting.

Participants in the program will engage in daily technique classes. Additionally, they will have the chance to join in the company's classes and rehearsals. At the conclusion of the program, trainees will perform in the Corps de Ballet for the Atlantic City Ballet's Spring rendition of "Swan Lake." The program, limited to 20 dancers, requires an audition during the company's open tryouts, attracting hundreds of global applicants eager to secure a place in ITAP. Many graduates of this program have advanced to join the Atlantic City Ballet, while others have found success in professional dance companies across the U.S., Broadway tours, and even as performers with the Radio City Rockettes.

Established in 1982 by renowned international ballerina Phyllis Papa, the Atlantic City Ballet consists of a team of professional dancers from across the globe, celebrated for their technical skill and vibrant stage presence. The company has gained national recognition, performing in various theaters along the East Coast and throughout the United States. Their diverse repertoire includes timeless classics like "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "Sleeping Beauty," and "Swan Lake." However, Phyllis Papa is particularly acclaimed for her innovative creations such as "Dracula," "Caught Up In The Swing," and the full-length "Carmen."
